Digital Design & Programming: The process begins with a 3D CAD model (e.g., .STEP, .IGES format). This model is translated into machine-readable instructions (G-code) using CAM software, defining all toolpaths, speeds, and feeds.

 

Material Preparation: The specified raw material (e.g., aluminum alloy 6061, stainless steel 316L) is precisely cut to size.

 

CNC Machining: The primary shaping occurs on multi-axis CNC milling centers and/or CNC lathes. This stage removes material to achieve the desired geometry.

 

Secondary Operations (If Required): Components may undergo subsequent processes such as threading, tapping, or boring.

 

Deburring & Cleaning: All parts are meticulously deburred and cleaned to remove any sharp edges, swarf, or contaminants.

 

Surface Treatment (Optional): Application of specified surface finishes (e.g., anodizing, passivation, electroless nickel plating) occurs at this stage.

 

Quality Inspection & Verification: 100% critical dimension inspection is performed using CMMs and optical comparators. Material certifications are verified.

 

Final Packaging & Shipping: Approved parts are packaged according to customer specifications to prevent damage during transit.

5-Axis CNC Milling
