Production Process:
- Raw Material Preparation and Cutting: Based on process requirements, aluminum alloy or alloy steel billets of selected specifications are cut using a band saw or CNC flame/plasma cutting machine.

CNC Machining:
Turning: Rough and finish machining is performed on CNC lathes to form the pulley's outer diameter, hub, V-groove, and other key contours, strictly controlling the groove angle and radius.
Milling: Precision milling of bolt holes, weight reduction cavities, and mounting interfaces on the hub is performed on vertical or horizontal machining centers.

Heat Treatment: Alloy steels undergo quenching and tempering to achieve high strength and toughness. Aluminum alloys undergo solution treatment and aging to enhance mechanical properties.

Surface Treatment: Depending on the material and application environment, appropriate surface treatments, such as hard anodizing or electroless nickel plating, are applied to enhance wear and corrosion resistance.

Quality Inspection and Testing: Critical dimensions are fully inspected using a coordinate measuring machine, and internal defects are detected using eddy current or ultrasonic testing. Finally, static load and fatigue tests are carried out to verify its load-bearing capacity and service life.
Product Process

This product mainly adopts CNC milling, and its bearing hole accuracy reaches 0.002mm. Every step is carefully crafted, and the arc chamfer is close to perfect.

The pulley surface is black anodized and laser engraved with the LOGO.
Material properties
Material Analysis (6061 Aluminum Alloy)
The 6061 aluminum alloy used in this product is a heat-treatable, hardened Al-Mg-Si alloy. Its chemical composition conforms to ASTM B209. The main elements are: Si 0.4-0.8%, Fe ≤0.7%, Cu 0.15-0.4%, Mn ≤0.15%, Mg 0.8-1.2%, Cr 0.04-0.35%, Zn ≤0.25%, Ti ≤0.15%, with the balance being Al. This material offers the following key advantages.
Excellent mechanical properties
After T6 heat treatment, the tensile strength is ≥310MPa, the yield strength is ≥276MPa, and the elongation is ≥10%. It not only meets the high-strength load-bearing requirements during helicopter transportation, but also has a certain plasticity to avoid the risk of brittle fracture.

Lightweight characteristics
The density is only 2.7g/cm³, which is much lower than that of steel (7.85g/cm³). While ensuring strength, it can significantly reduce the pulley's own weight (about 65% weight reduction compared to steel pulleys), reduce the additional load on the helicopter lifting system, and improve flight economy and safety.

Good machinability
6061 aluminum alloy has an "excellent" machinability rating, low cutting resistance, and low tool wear rate. It is suitable for high-speed CNC machining and can achieve high-precision forming of complex structures. Its machining efficiency is about 20% higher than that of other high-strength aluminum alloys (such as 7075).
