For brass studs with steps, blind holes, or shaped heads (such as hexagon sockets or cross recesses), CNC machining can be completed in a single operation using multi-axis linkage (e.g., 3-axis or 4-axis CNC), eliminating the precision errors associated with multiple clamping steps.

Production Process

CNC Turning/Milling

This subtractive manufacturing process uses computer-controlled machines to remove material from a brass blank with high-precision cutting tools. It ensures exceptional accuracy for diameters, lengths, thread pitches, and other geometric features.

Threading

Threads are typically cut using single-point threading or thread milling on CNC machines, guaranteeing precise thread form, pitch, and major/minor diameters conforming to standards like ISO, UNC, UNF, or metric specifications.

Deburring

A vital post-machining step to eliminate protrusions, ensuring part safety, preventing thread galling, and facilitating smooth assembly.

Surface Treatment

Options include electroplating (e.g., nickel, chrome) for enhanced corrosion resistance and appearance, or passivation to improve tarnish resistance.
