Most PCBS are made using a chemical etching process in which the PCB designer can cover part of the copper before dipping the board into an etching solution such as ferric chloride. The solution removes areas of copper that are not covered, leaving the required channel network.
For small projects, CNC machining can serve as a suitable alternative to etching, especially in environments where etching solutions may be considered dangerous. Machined plates (where the copper portion is simply milled off) can be designed using CAD/CAM software and manufactured using a standard CNC milling machine.

Radiators are widely used electronic devices that transfer heat from electronic components to liquid coolant or air. Radiators are used in devices such as computers to cool key components to maintain normal function.
With machinable metals such as aluminum or copper, radiators can be manufactured using CNC machining technology. Precision CNC machines are capable of making even very small radiators and can be manufactured in various configurations on request.
Machining is usually suitable for small batch production of radiators and can be used to make very complex contours, cuts and other features. Machined radiators also have high thermal conductivity.
